Sound Therapy

Mantras are sounds, syllables or words used in Ayurveda to transform body and mind. Ojas can be increased by the mantras Aum, Ram, and Klim. The mantra of peace, ShamSham, is used to create calmness and detachment, alleviating mental and nervous disorders, stress, and anxiety.1

Studies have also shown that listening to relaxing classical or Indian sitar music can help reduce stress hormones and lowers blood pressure. Conversely, modern music was shown to increase stress levels.1
